He gave me everything I ever needed.

To be in the moment with me, hold me in his embrace. He would instantly put things aside. In that moment of being held. I felt gentleness… it was assuring when he rubs his thumb on my index finger whenever he holds my hand.

I felt safe.

It has been sometime since I felt that as I walk deeper into this.

But today, I felt what he gave before. Comforted I am.
