My right leg had started to burn.
There was really very little a four year old would know about death but in that moment I knew for a fact that I might die.
It seemed like I was there a very long time. I watched the fire overpower me. There was a lot of smoke too so I couldn’t see. I started to say what little memory verses I learnt from Sunday school. It felt like forever.
I heard voices and then someone lifted me and ran towards the bathroom. I felt water being poured over me and the torment stopped.
