This kind of labelling people that support Brexit, Trump et al. is a great part of the problem. These labels — angry, fearful, afraid — increase the distance between the groups, make the way other people see the world less valid, irrational, naive. And then instead of everyone taking it easy, having time to grow comfortable with changes, people take sides, fight back, ignore each other.
