If a mom has a picky eater…

--

How would you finish that sentence?

Here are few things I would say, because I do in fact have a few picky eaters…

If a mom has a picky eater, she’s probably tried it all. She started with “no, you can’t have that, I made this!” And then wondered how to stand her ground.

If a mom has a picky eater, she probably tried a bribe — “if you eat this first, then you can have that!?” And stated this as a question because she wasn’t sure it would work.

If a mom has a picky eater, maybe she’s done with fighting at all. “What do you want to eat?” she may ask. So add short-order cook to her resume.

If a mom has a picky eater, she probably acts sneaky at times. Green “monster” muffins, or chickpea pasta, and sometimes it works!

If a mom has a picky eater, what she needs to know most of all, is she’s doing things right - it is hard to have a picky eater.

P.S. If feeding your child is stressful, or eating is stressful for your child, it may be time to ask for help. Find a feeding therapist in your area and get help today.
