Pens will be shipped with letters

From Jay Gross

Owen M. Russell, Shepherd High School’s shop teacher, has a new machine making custom wood pens. They are really nice!

But get this…

He partnered with Heath Nestle on a really amazing project…

Mr. Nestle’s 8th grade classes (about 60) used the pens to write letters to our soldiers serving in the Middle East. And now they are sending the letters along with the pens for the soldiers to keep!

One of the pens and letters is going to Nate Bellinger, son of Jeanine Smith Bellinger who is here holding the pen (and trying not to cry…)
