No, I don’t think you are, or you wouldn’t try to claim this as something you taught her, however poor a teacher you feel you were. And I doubt you recognize the inherent misogyny that went into your decision either. Unlike cis men, the rest of us aren’t socialized to account for our own talent. In fact, we’re taught to discount it, downplay it; and even when we don’t, all too often cis men come along and take credit for the work we did.

All this illustrates to me is that you are as blind to your privilege as every other cis man. Since part of that privilege is having nothing but free time right now, consider spending some of your current wandering learning about intersectionality. It will help you hurt people less.
