I too think that what Debbie Wasserman Schultz did was fraud, and because our system allows for it, I label it abuse. Hence I reference both, because our system has been corrupted to legalize fraud in many cases.

Supreme court did not help, we can both agree that was bullshit.

Lobbyist — Regulator — Lobbyist is clearly not helpful in most cases.

You seem to do just fine in identifying several areas of fraud and abuse, but I think we vastly underestimate how much waste there is in our government today.

Healthcare.gov. Colossal waste. Corrected by using modern coding practices implemented by people motivated to help their government not suck.

The government’s habit of not staying current with modern technology and best practices wastes more than enough to pay for most if not all of the services you are angry that have been cut or underfunded, yet you seem willingly to give them a pass for that in order to rage on Reagan. I really just don’t understand this mentality.

Government has a purpose and a place. I am not saying it doesn’t. But it needs to be more transparent, and held more accountable. Agencies should not be able to ignore FIOA requests. Agencies should not be able to ignore best practices and modern technology. Agencies should not be able to ignore the GOA’s recommendations on how to improve when they are under performing.

How many examples do you need to start to entertain the idea that we waste a ton of money in our government today, even outside the military? That money wasted is money not spent on services. I simply don’t understand how we cannot find common ground on that.
