4 Key Steps to Get Committed to your Goals in your Life
In life, we all get distracted by outside factors and external forces. We get engaged with some activities and than we realize that during the process we lose our energy and fire that got us excited in the first place. Personally, in my life as I strive to reach my long term goals I have found that being committed to something is the most important factor in life.
If you want to be an all-star basketball player get committed to the gym, if you want to get all A's commit to the library and if you want to be a good gamer commit to the sticks!!
Listed below is four tips to get yourself committed in whatever you are trying to do.
Mindset is important because it is the key factor for you to start your growth. If you do not have the mindset to achieve your goal, you might as well stop. First you believe in your mind and heart that you can accomplish any endeavors that you take on! Take control of your mind and pour only positive thoughts into it. Of course, this takes time as we naturally think negatively. Getting plugged in with positive people, books and audios helps transform the brain to become more positive which leads to more positive outcomes.
Next, think about what are your ideals to accomplish the situation? What do you need to do day in and day out to get to the finish line . Understand what actions need to be taken everyday to make it happen. For example, Kobe Bryant would show up a hour early to workouts and leave a hour late when he first came into the NBA. He has his ideals in order and he now is the one of the best players of all time. When you understand your ideals towards your commitment great things happen.
Find someone that can be your mentor or a close friend that can keep you accountable to keep pursuing your dreams. Every successful person had a mentor on their journey to success. Drake had Lil Wayne, Big Sean had Kanye West and Bill Gates had Warren Buffet. Follow someone who made the same commitment as you and lock arms with that person until you reach our goal!!
Finally, get organized in your life. If you do not organize your life, your life will control you. Time is very valuable, so its important that you assess how you are using it. For example, I have a schedule for my month and a daily schedule that I live by to make sure I am an alignment with my goals. By committing to a daily routine, you bring yourself closer to your success!!
