Lion Rides a Horse #notwonkish

It’s time for @noahpinion stop pretending Unemployment hasn’t been solved.

Noah argues about why America lost our risk taking soul

And completely forgets, “Necessity is the mother of invention.”

People fled England to found our country. Our forefathers didn’t become cowboys and gold miners because there was a safety net out West.

I mean seriously, how silly is Noahpinion on this subject? Go read it.

Deep down, many academic liberals are terrified of seeming “unAmerican,” of being “other,” and they shouldn’t be! But they DO have dance with the one that brung them.

Noah’s rightful fear is that if Americans believe the safety net inhibits innovation (economic growth), we may reduce the safety net. But instead of creating an innovative American safety net, he looks longingly towards bureaucratic Europe.

Forget Europe Noah! I got this. Let’s ask your Academic Advisor:

Professor Kimball knows we can still be the land of the brave! We only must establish a safety net that trains and teaches all Americans in the safety net… to be HUSTLERS.

Yes, I know, I know, some liberal academics do not like Hustlers. But that doesn’t matter, because my plan proves if those in the safety net are hustlers, the strength (level of benefits) of the safety net grows. And liberal academics are required to support more consumption for the poor!

CHECKMATE, Noah.

Welcome to Guaranteed Income / Choose Your Boss!

One last bit (sorry about this wonkish data) may be needed for Noah to admit he was wrong:

Consumption poverty is the best safety net metric.

This is US consumption poverty according to the center-left Brookings. The data shows clearly, the poor have never had it so good. Hat-tip: Scott Sumner.

GI/CYB will drive Consumption Poverty to zero. And it’s time for Noah to admit like Mike Konczal, that the Lion Rides a Horse.
