The ‘Sexiest’ Watches of Our Time.

A mixture of brands; watches old and new — the very best of horology

What makes a wristwatch great? What makes a watch ‘beautiful’?

For me, it’s a combination of many things; but ultimately, if I manage to stare at a photograph of a particular wristwatch for minutes on end, it made this list of the ‘sexiest’ watches available.

  1. Rolex ‘Submariner 1680 Mark II Dial (circa 1978)’
My absolute favorite Rolex, is it odd that I say the more beat-up the better?

2. Patek Philippe ‘Aquanaut 5167A-001’

A suit or sweatpants; this watch goes with anything — a modern, sporty Patek

3. Breguet ‘Extra Plat 5377’

Breguet nailed the aesthetic with this assymetical tourbillon dial layout; one of my all-time favorite pieces

4. Audemars Pigeut ‘Royal Oak Tourbillon Extra Thin’

An AP tourbillon, must I say more? So sleek in the special edition dial and platinum case

5. A. Lange & Sohne ‘Lange 1 Moonphase’

The Moonphase 1 is Lange’s take on excellence and classic visual style

6. F.P. Journe ‘Octa Automatique Lune Reserve’

F.P. Journe is becoming a household name for couture-level watches in the industry, this watch shows why

7. Rolex ‘Submariner 116610LV’

A staple of any collection, the Submariner in Rolex’s mesmerizing, hallmark green

8. Greubel Forsey ‘GMT in Red Gold’

GF’s magnificent flagship; complicated and ‘cutting edge,’ and utterly stylistic

9. Richard Mille ‘RM11 Felipe Massa 10th Anniversary’

An avant-garde name in the industry, Richard Mille’s use of color contrast and NTPT Carbon patters is gorgeous

10. Blancpain ‘Fifty Fathoms No Radiation’

Blancpain’s 2010 rendition of their classic dive watch; a wonderful piece — if you can get your hands on one

I hope you enjoyed looking at these pieces as much as I do. Thanks for looking!
