We are grateful for your ongoing support and patience as we navigate the evolution of our project. We acknowledge that the development of our original Mortifer game, built with Unreal Engine, is taking longer than anticipated. Nevertheless, we remain committed to delivering an exciting and rewarding gaming experience for you.
In light of recent developments, we’re excited to pivot our focus towards a new and thrilling venture — a Mortifer-themed card game. Crafted with HTML/WebGL and bolstered by blockchain technology, this game is not only a precursor to our 3D version but stands as a full-fledged gaming experience on its own. Our aim is to ensure a secure, fair, and universally accessible gaming journey for our community while we continue developing the original Mortifer game.
Key Features of the Card Game:
- Familiar Game Mechanics: The card game will maintain the strategy-focused and knowledge-based gameplay that defines Mortifer. The results of each match hinge on your card choices and strategy, with no element of chance involved.
- Card-Based Battles: Battles shift from direct combat to card-based encounters. Each card represents a weapon or utility from the original game, with victory lying in the clever combination of these elements.
- NFT Champions: As in the original Mortifer, you’ll have the chance to own and trade Mortifer Champions as NFTs. These champions will hold significant roles within the card game.
- Auto-Fight Mode: We’re launching an auto-fight mode, allowing you to preset your strategy algorithmically. This means your champion remains active, even when you’re not online.
In parallel to the card game’s development, we’re preparing to issue a new token to facilitate our fundraising efforts. The tokenomics model associated with this token aims to reward both traders and our loyal players. Here are some core features:
- Player Rewards: Winning matches and partaking in other in-game activities will enable players to earn tokens, fostering active engagement within the game.
- Long-Term Investment Benefits: The tokenomics model will promote long-term token holding. This could include mechanisms like staking, which offer token holders the opportunity to earn rewards over time. We’re also considering a profit-sharing mechanism from entry fee-based competitions for long-term investors and players who stake their tokens, as a show of gratitude for their loyalty. More details will be provided as we refine this feature.
- Trader-Friendly: While the focus is on rewarding players and long-term investors, the token will also cater to traders with features such as a potentially available liquidity pool.
The method of token issuance will be announced later as we are currently evaluating several options including a CEX, DEX, or a different form of token issuance.
