That’s wishful thinking. Any market (and so also the software market) is competitive. so in order to be successful, one needs to be better (and this frequently means different) than competition. If building software becomes a comodity, there is no way to stand out. As long manual coding gives a quality/performance/visual/whatever advatage, it will be done.
Componentization and brick style frameworks have been promoted since the very begining of software development, however building software is more similar to a puzzle than a model kit, so the success of these efforts is limited to a certain extend.
