You are right that the karma theory or the reincarnation theory is not proven. They are in fact just “theories”. But as of now they seem to be the only way to explain what happens around us.

If we hypothetically say that its all random, then what will motivate a common man to do the right thing, not just for him but what is perceived to be right in the society.

Religions teach us a way of life so that we may live peacefully in a society. Hence karma theory seems to be a part of every religion. How else will we stop a common man from doing something utterly selfish at the cost of another human lives?

And nothing can justify what happened in the Delhi rape case or many other cases for that matter. However, we humans seek answers. As of now we seem to find the answers only in the karma theory.

I would really not want to believe that whatever bad or good happens it happens randomly.
