Liberty University students head to Texas to help with flood relief efforts

A group of ten Liberty students and two professors left for Victoria, Texas on Saturday, September 2nd. They will be working alongside Samaritan’s Purse to restore the city after the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. They return September 9th.

Liberty University shocks Baylor

The Liberty Flames, an FCS Big South football team, upset FBS Big 12 Baylor University on Saturday, September 2nd. Liberty was projected a 2.2% chance of victory, but finished the fourth quarter with a 48–45 victory. Liberty was led by Sophomore quarterback Stephen Calvert, who threw for 447 yards and three touchdowns.

Liberty University to premier nationwide feature film

Liberty University’s movie, Extraordinary, will premier next week. The movie follows the true story of Dr. David Horton, who ran from California to New York in 62 days. The movie premiers at 5:30 on Thursday, September 7th, at Regal Cinemas in Lynchburg.
