Before the swap [Installing/Creating a MetaMask Wallet]
🦊 MetaMask is a Google Chrome extension that securely manages personal wallets.
You can use MetaMask to send and manage MOC.
To swap MOC to WMOC, you’ll need a wallet containing MOC, right?
Let’s create a MetaMask wallet and put MOC in it! Would you like to follow along? 🏃♀️
- Open Google Chrome.
2. In Google Chrome, navigate to the MetaMask website (https://metamask.io/), and then click on “Download for Chrome.”
3. Click the “Add to Chrome” button.
4. In the notification popup about adding the extension, select “Add Extension.”
5. Once the installation is complete, the “Get Started” screen will automatically appear.
6. Check “I agree to MetaMask’s Terms of Use,” and then click “Create a New Wallet.”
7. Follow the prompts for agreement and proceed as follows.
8. Enter a password that you can remember easily, confirm it by entering it again, and then click “Create New Wallet.”
9. Under “Protect Your Wallet,” watch the video and choose “Protect My Wallet (Recommended).”
10. Before revealing the secret recovery phrase, ensure that it’s not visible to others. Prepare a secure place to store the phrase separately. Then click “Reveal Secret Recovery Phrase.
11. Twelve secret recovery phrases will be generated in the form of English words. These words don’t have individual meanings; however, when recovering your account, you’ll need to input all twelve words. Please store them in a secure location separately! Once you’ve safely stored the recovery phrase, click on “Next.”
12. Verify the secret recovery phrase. Enter the English word corresponding to the number in the blue oval-shaped blank, based on the recovery phrase you confirmed earlier. After entering the word, click on “Confirm.”
13. Wallet Creation Complete!! Click on “I’ve copied it somewhere safe.”
14. Confirm the installation is complete and click “Next.”
15. Add MetaMask as an extension.
Click on the puzzle icon in the upper right corner of your browser and select “Add MetaMask.” This will create a fox icon next to it. From now on, when you want to use MetaMask, simply click on the fox icon to connect directly to MetaMask.
