If anything, this wonderful piece of satire is overly generous.

It is not my impression. I feel my ideas often get stolen by competitors, even the phrasing is copied, and it is kind of annoying (although it also validates my vision).

I still throw away my ideas, because it is the cheapest marketing/PR that I have, and customer attention is more valuable than the product itself.

Anyway, competitors always get informed before customers.
