Siliconies (or whatever), the media companies I’ve worked for, and Madison Avenue would argue Candy Crush creates value by demanding so much of our day to day attention. It’s how anyone survives these days — by trying their damnedest to grab and hold our attention. Whether or not these Pavlovian addiction machines actually deserve the hours (or days) of attention they get is not a question that you are supposed to be asking.
