Shivaay — The Trailer Review

So in between the multi-mega crore movies of the Khans, comes the not-so-multi-mega crore movie of Ajay Devgn. Yes, in this part of the year, we will witness the battle of who is the best amongst the 2nd line of superstars that are Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan and Ajay Devgn. Saif would have been here but his movie-choosing ability has vanished as mysteriously as the ‘a’ from Ajay’s surname.

Enter the trailer of Shivaay, we see AJ almost passed out like a pasta, smoking what can only be some Manali Masala. What follows is a sequence of ice-climbing and weapon-wielding, both of which reminds you of wildlings from the peaceful world of Game of Thrones.

This seems like yet another movie where AJ plays a juggernaut against a possibly unstoppable force. Sample this, there are cliff-side fights, ice-climbing stunts, Tom Cruise-like running along a crowded road, AJ chasing cars or cars chasing AJ (I’m not sure which), helicopters shooting, cars crashing, bomb blasts and tunnel fire (Fire & Ice, I see Game of Thrones everywhere).

Sadly, there is no somersaulting jeep but there is enough crazy action to leave us impressed or irate. All this action along the lines of some drama, including a cute little girl and a masala entertainer is guaranteed!
