The Entrepreneurial Spirit: Are Entrepreneurs Born or Made?

I hate being the one with the unpopular view amongst all the well-deserved praise… but I must ask: since when does an entrepreneur only become successful if he creates a multi-million dollar business? Isn’t entrepreneurial spirit about being able to see an opportunity, grasp it with all its risks, and persistently see it through in spite of all the pitfalls, to make something out of nothing? Isn’t the ability to simply apply all that courage and hard work to make “unlikely” or “difficult” into “possible” a success in itself, regardless of how much revenue is involved? Why is success only measured in terms of money, and not in terms of how steep the climb was to get there? or even in terms of how many people you helped?
