Guitar-child me!

Hi, I’m Mounica and i am from the city of pearls A.K.A Hyderabad. I could introduce myself as a pretty interesting person. I like reading ( fiction, non-fiction, sci-fi, romance, thrillers) I can vouch for Romantic thrillers at any time of the day. I try out new things all the time. Writing has always been my medium of expression. I am a lazy bum and need Lot of motivation to do something (ANYTHING). My mother says i am intelligent but i use my “mind” in a rather negative way.

I wanted to learn playing an instrument from my childhood. I have always fancied playing it in my church choir. My priorities have changed with age but i’m still inclined to the thought of being able to master an instrument. I also bought a second(or rather third) hand guitar from a friend of mine. I have it hung on my wall right beside my bed along with stick notes that say “practice — — — for — — days”

I tried going to guitar tutorials. My first guitar teacher was again a friend of mine. He was really good at instilling in me the basics of music theory. But alas life isn’t easy! right? He stays around 25kms away from my place. I had to drop.

My next guitar tutorial was a child-hood friend- Joy. Though he stayed 15kms away from my place i would travel happily just so i could feel the music turn live on the other wise wooden thing(A.K.A Guitar). He was a very patient teacher and has lot of skills down his sleeves. I learnt few basic chords from him. Mostly he would practice along with me to help me get familiar with the fret board and the theory. Just as we were progressing to the 6th lesson, he had to leave to Goa. ☹

I still didn’t lose hope. I knew that i still had a chance. I just have to look around me. I started visiting the music schools in my area(which is an outskirt of the city BTW). i found a handful of schools after combing the whole 6km radius. And now, when i thought i could go to one of these schools and learn playing this magical piece of wood, my mother says “ We cannot afford it.” She is right. We cannot.

So the last and only thing i could wish for right now is for is some stranger on the internet who will teach me basics on a regular interval of time. keep track of my practice sessions. Give me tips on remembering the music theory. Motivating me and suggesting me material to look through — In short someone who will help me learn the art of making music. So if you’re a person who could be that “Good Samaritan ” and help me with this, i promise i will help someone too ! *pinky swear* ☺

If you happen to know any kind soul who could Guitar-child me and teach me — Just put this article in their way. They may stumble on it and help me with this! ☺
