No more stalking
As overseas’ fan, I’ve been relying on lots of angelic people to share stuffs from Japan. They’re not available in my country due to lack of profit/interest or whatever reasons those media people called. I thank various uploader and fansubbers for their work, whether it’s for manga, tv show, series (anime, dorama, toku) or movie.
As stated above, it’s not available around. But, whenever I found my favorite manga licensed in my country, I bought it without hesitation. It’s one rule I kept as listed in scanlation’s page: “Support the mangaka by buying the manga when its available in your country.” So, I treated the scanlation I got as preview before buying the local version.
However, when dealing with tv shows such variety, I can’t help but raising my hopes on streaming video’s site, such as youtube or dailymotion. But, someone was arrested last Sunday and it gave chill to every angel in the fandom. Livejournal (lj), as one of the fast growing fandom media, is undergoing uproar. People start locking everything, causing massive friend request all around. People are afraid. Even though we live outside Japan, who knows your country might have treaty in securing japanese shows.
In result, no more peeking livejournal posts. You need to be friended back to gain access into someone’s files. No more previewing. No more silent visitor. Well, if you come to my lj, you need to spit something before I could realize you’re alive. Pushing the “add friend” button is not enough. As I quoted from 20th Century Boys, “You don’t be friend just by asking, right?”
