Spoiler Alert: we are not and we never will sell your data to anyone. If we gather personal information from you it will only be done because we need them to enable certain features in our app or to improve the overall user experience of the app. Your data is always used privately and securley.
Analytics
MOVIST uses Fabric and Crashlytics to gather basic analytics and crash reports. We use the analytics and crash reports to improve the app in every way we can. Please read Fabric’s privacy policy for more details on what they may do with your data.
We are also receiving analytics and crash reports from Apple. You can disable this via the iOS Settings app.
Trakt
MOVIST uses Trakt to synchronise and backup your data. As such we need to make many requests to Trakt’s service via its dedicated public API. We send every request securely and the personal information we may get from Trakt is stored encrypted on your device. If you do not link MOVIST with Trakt, your data is never sent to Trakt. Please read Trakt’s privacy policy for more details on what they may do with your data.
Support
If you send us a message through our support section, some personal data may be asked like your email address. It won’t be used by us for anything else than to contact you back to solve your issue. We use Uservoice’s service to store our F.A.Q., receive, store and reply to your support tickets. Please read Uservoice’s privacy policy for more details on what they may do with your data.
Mailing list
If you ask to receive emails and submit your email address, we store that email address in a database. If we ever send you an email it will come with a simple way to unsubscribe. We use MailChimp’s service to record and send our mailing. Please read MailChimp’s privacy policy for more details on what they may do with your data.
Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may modify and revise this document from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date. If the ideas behind this document change (eg: if we decide to sell your personal information) we will make sure you get notified about it.
Deleting your data
Everything can be deactivated:
- Analytics: opt-out from the Settings panel
- Trakt: delete your Trakt account
- Mailing List: unsubscribe from any email you received
If you need a total wipe of all the data we may have gathered, please contact us. We will delete your information as soon as reasonably practical. Deletion of any information from third party services is managed through that third party service and governed by their terms of use and privacy policy.
