Pokemon returns to Nintendo in ‘Pokken Tournament DX’

Pokemon is a very successful game series. It has been around for a good while now, and continues to add new Pokemon and new areas to explore. Gamers of all ages love to play them, and now they can on the Nintendo Switch. Pokken Tournament DX had a playable demo at E3, and this writer was able to try it out. Here is what he thought of this game.

Take direct control of one of 21 prized Pokémon fighters to defeat other Pokémon in arena fights. Call upon Support Pokémon to assist in the fight, then unleash your Pokémon’s unique Burst Attack to climb atop the ranks. With all new modes and new ways to battle with friends, this is your chance to become champion of the Ferrum Region!

This was a pretty enjoyable Pokken Tournament DX demo. Two players went head to head, and fought to best 2 out of 3. There were some new Pokemon here, and new moves and mechanics that made this game fun to try out. There are multiple ways to play this game on the Nintendo Switch, including a new Team Battle Mode that let’s players battle with a Pokemon party.
