I’m glad you liked it. I had this exact same question too. I really don’t know if those numbers are random or if they hold any real significance (that’s why I didn’t mention it in the article in case I was wrong). I read in the docs that the ears are also landmarks although that wasn’t numbered on any of the faces. I guess I’ll find that out by trying the app out with more images.
