There are a lot of metrics to consider.

- Open Rate
- Click-Through Rate
- Bounce Rate
- Unsubscribe Rate
- Conversion Rate

Though, unquestionably, some metrics carry more weight than others.

With over a decade’s experience in email marketing, I’ve learned to shift my focus to the following:

  1. The Relevance of Content: Segmenting your audience and personalizing emails according to their particular needs and interests is crucial.

2. Quality of Information: Rather than overwhelming your subscribers with constant promotional material, prioritize delivering valuable and informative content.

3. Value Proposition: Ensure every email sent includes insights, tips, or exclusive content that keeps subscribers engaged and less likely to hit ‘unsubscribe’.

And it’s proven to be effective.

When it comes to reviving lost subscribers, crafting a compelling ‘win-back’ campaign with a clear value proposition for rejoining is invaluable. Consider offering exclusive discounts or early access to new products to entice them back.

Navigating your biggest challenge in email marketing might just require a slight shift in your strategy.
