I’ve been practicing this “technique” for years now, can’t explain all of the science and biology behind it nor do I understand why this works… but it works. I’ve read about the hot/cold shower approach in many alternative health publications and as a result, I just trust it and do it now. It has indeed become a “growth” practice in the many different aspects that you’ve mentioned and it’s gotten to the point where it’s now enjoyable…imagine that! Kind of like meditation, we hate it at first and then we can’t do without it.
Roman Polanski was quoted saying he takes an ice cold shower every morning because after that…what could be worse!
