Fitness vs. Weight. What’s more important?

According to Study Mode, Physical fitness is one of the most important key to a healthy body. It is the basis of creative artistic activity. Physical fitness means the condition of being physically healthy, especially exercises and proper nutrition. Many people express dissatisfaction or concerns in their appearance in their body. Our mirrors are ruining our life and we must start taking action. We only think of our appearance in the outside but forget about our health in the inside. We have to take in consideration that even though we see someone who seems slender and skinny it does not mean they are healthy and fit. Lets ask ourselves a question, what should be most important to us, what people think of our body or what we can achieve if we focus on our overall fitness? Being fit has many of advantages. For example, being able to play sports with our kids, reduces stress, and strengthens our immune system.

Many people believe that what’s important is looking skinny instead of pushing yourself to eat healthy and exercising. Being in a restricted diet is not the answer. It may be the easiest way out but it is definitely not the healthiest way to go. This will cause you limiting your body to get the nutrients it needs and live a long healthy life. Furthermore, even though exercise can mean adding an extra activity to our calendar, if you think of all the benefits it brings daily you wouldn’t even think about it twice. Guy’s if I can do it so can u. Let me tell you why. I am a single mom of three kids and have responsibilities and handle all on my own, from cleaning the house to working full time, helping the kids in their homework, and taking care of my youngest one who is autistic. Nevertheless, I sat down and thought, how was I able to implement this in my schedule ? First , I thought of all the benefits it would bring me and the kids and it would make me a better mom. You may ask yourselves, what does staying fit and eating right have to with being a better mom? It’s simple, exercising has reduces my stress level and anxiety and has helped my little who also suffers from SPD (Sensory Processing Disorder) which is a neurological disorder in which the sensory information that the individual perceives results in abnormal responses. This type of exercise relaxes his muscles and calms him down when he is feeling an overload . Additionally, gives me an opportunity to spend quality time with them and teaches them that if you want to have a nice body you have to work for it not just eat very little and have a restricted diet that can get you sick. Below is a video of how exercise can help autistic kids who suffer from SPD.
In October 2016, I found myself in a relationship that was destroying who I was, I didn’t have any hobbies, lost all my friends, and was unhappy with my body. My ex made fun of my appearance and I thought looking skinny, slender, and starving myself was the best and quickest way to look good. I did not know this the worst thing I could do. One of the things that helped me overcome my break-up, was making the decision to exercise daily and eat right. I became a different person and felt as if I could conquer the world. You may ask yourself how can a single mom of three kids have time to exercise? Well, it is all about the quality of your exercise and not so much the amount of time you exercise; if it wouldn’t be for this I would not have time. A commitment of 20 to 30 minutes per day is all it takes. Nevertheless, its easier starving yourself then feeling discomfort and having to commit, but at the end think of all the benefits it can bring you and your family in the long run. At this current moment take a second to think that life is only one. We have to live it not thinking about what others see but how good we feel inside and out. At the end our internal happiness keeps us health mentally and physically as stress can also get us sick. What we can all say, is that what counts is not our weight but our overall fitness and our internal happiness.
