I don’t really use getters and setters. To me, they have a certain smell of over complicating things. I’ve never found a place to use them in a way that genuinely made things better. Then again, I honestly might be the wrong person to talk to about OOP issues, I’m programming more and more functionally these days, and use less and less OOP features.
