Sounds to me like they are trying preserve their family’s good name by encouraging their father to get better advise from his staff (maybe by replacing his staff). Even if they had no big business empire, they should be giving him that advise anyway.

Unless there is some kind of policy-oriented advise (dad, please give me a big tax break), I don’t see anything here.
