Awakening Our Spiritual Purpose Lenten Journey Day 2

Patience and perseverance pave the way to paradise. God calls us to overcome worldly challenges and awaken our inner strength by showing love and kindness to others. Charity and kindness are principles of our faith, and we all can meditate and remember our unique gifts and how we propose to persevere in selfless love.

In the Book of Revelation, John receives a message about the first church that speaks of the importance of patience and perseverance in the face of evil. As we self-reflect on what this message may mean to us, we may be reminded not to lose sight of our first ideal in Christ of selfless acts of love. If we overcome worldly challenges, we will receive the reward of eating from the tree of life in paradise.

This relates to the idea of the “Tree of Life” in the Book of Genesis. It suggests that regaining control of our inner strength enables us overcome challenges to perform outward acts of love. and can lead to healing. Not just in our bodies and minds, but also in our worldly circumstances. We will reap the reward of eternal life and the fruits of the spirit.

And if we decide to believe in the teachings of spiritual healing, we can help others and improve their lives. When our prayers and our purpose are aligned with our faith, then our physical and mental health improves, and we become more like the leaves of Tree of Life, which heals others. This is possible because we are connected to the water of life, and are growing through our spiritual journey to become one with God. This is what those who love God strive for.

Ultimately, the message of the first church is a call to remember that selfless love and charity are foundations of our faith, and to repent and persevere in our physical acts of love. God provides us “our daily bread”. As He is a channel of blessings for our daily nourishments, we can also be a channel of blessings to others. By doing so, we can receive the reward of eternal life and experience the fruits of the spirit in our own lives and the lives of those around us.
