Hi! Thank you so much for your post. In fact, I was just about to start writing one along very similar lines. Every single tip you pointed out helps me cope with my anxiety and these are really great methods to encourage people like us to become stronger and healthier every day.

I want to point out a couple of things that work especially well for me. First, doing sports and being active always helps me snap out of anxious situations. There is no better feeling than putting that phone away, blasting your favourite song, and engaging your body and mind together in harmony. Rejuvenating! Secondly, I feel that communication is a very tricky aspect. Whereas, sometimes, discussing (and especially over-discussing) with others can lead to tension, self-doubt, and endless loops of “what-ifs”, I find that socialising can often help put things into perspective and help you see the big picture. One coping mechanism I often use now is chatting about positive topics unrelated to things I might be anxious about. This usually helps my mind go somewhere else and forget what it was worrying about so much by the time it returns.

Makes me wonder, though, it would be good to reflect on the SOS mechanisms that work to prevent actual anxiety attacks (like the playlist)… I might consider writing something on this topic as a response. :D

Anyways, thanks again! I’m a big fan of your writing.
