Apple goes Green

Apple has gone from a little under 10 million sales in 2010 to approximately 80 million sales in 2017. It’s evident that their impact globally has been significant. Once you know how global Apple has gone, a major question rises; How are they impacting our environment? Apple states that “To ask less of the planet, we ask more of ourselves”. What does that mean? Well they have been dedicating a lot of studies and employees to work on becoming more environmentally friendly.

Apple has many goals to help the contribute positively to the environment one of them being tracking their carbon footprint and reducing it as much as possible. They have converted 96% of their total facilities into clean energy such as solar, wind and hydro. They hope to eventually be able to build their products with only recycled products while maintaining still being high quality. Apple has been looking into every small detail of their company, even the packaging of their iPhone’s are created out of bamboo and sugarcane waste.
