Right back at you; “Boohoohoo… Sucks to be you.”

Sucks to be part of a group that continuously poo-poos the idea of collective bargaining, which would have lead to residuals and royalties and better work days and salaries for decades now, but nearly every programmer, artist, or designer I’ve worked with in my decade of being a game developer imagines themselves an island of power, able to negotiate their worth by themselves, and that unions are just lazy enabling relics of the past.

You should be cheering on SAG and mad at your fellow game developers for not organizing long ago, not the reverse, which is supporting the ongoing race to the bottom of low pay, long hours, and more often pink slips than royalty checks after the game ships regardless of it’s sales numbers or profitability.
