Thanks for sharing Davis! I think you touched on several points that many people in new leadership roles go through. Saying no is a tough struggle, but when you develop that skill it does wonders to your ability to focus, and deliver.
I quite like the distinction between scrappy and sloppy, that’s something I’ve been…
Davis, I absolutely love this perspective! Very well articulated. It really elevates “UX” beyond product, and sets it at an entire company level (in the context of a company). It’s a point so many people miss, that no matter what your role is, you’re contributing to someone’s experience. From marketing, to recruitment, to engineering and everything…
It’s incredibly important to emphasize the variety of uses dribbblers have for the platform. I used to be in the camp that believed almost too passionately that there was a problem with dribbble, but I only ever looked at it from the portfolio/talent acquisition angle.
Great piece Julie!
I believe there are numerous amounts of us on the fence about starting to write. You’ve written a very encouraging piece, and I too hope that more and more design thinkers will begin sharing their thoughts, experiences, success and failures with the greater community.
Thanks for sharing:)
