#31DaysOfAlPete Day 6: ‘Exposure’ short film

… *laughs*! This was on my ‘on this day’ memories on Facebook. *laughs again*…man! This was extremely fun, funny, creative, proclaim, spontaneous, thought driven (Notsucal is a country genius…his film game is great and I’m thankful he believed in me to execute his visions/visuals), experimental, and overall…dope.

Shot in 2010. Was this after I shot ‘Treacherous’ (you’ll see it in the 31 Days line up)…?? Not sure but I had A LOT going on in 2010. That year was high for me. I had 2 solo albums out, I’ve DJ a couple a notable events/parties/weddings, and now I was creating this other beast: acting (and modeling…which I don’t think I did…but…whatever…ladies dug/dig it).

Peace to my brother Vennum that was the ‘victim’ in the film…he did great. Not sure if he realizes that. Also…this story is still relevant in Duval’s music scene. Within my great year of accomplishments, I was the victim in many situations. I can laugh at it now but before…I’ve threaten a good bit of folks and even experienced a scuffle or 2…and it wasn’t a good feeling at all, especially when you got kid(s) to feed and you’re constantly trying to save relationships (love, friends, family) by proving to them that you’re out here doing good and it’s for the sake of them…so yeah. I wish these folks would have experienced it with me but maybe it was for me to experience and not for them. Looking back now, they would have not been able TO handle me…maybe I was that chosen one TO deal with it. *thinks*…I just want niggas to be proud of me…shit. Unfortunately, it didn’t work with some but I tried and I did a great job…whether the folks I lost tell me that or not. Fin with that.

So yeah…short flow. I played the evils on here (promoter)…I played what was the damage to my spirits at times and it helped me with adapt to that environment easier. Thank goodness it’s not on that level anymore. I don’t have to hawk folks for a dollar *laughs*. Enjoy folks.
