Mister Peterson’s Neighborhood: Clear Visions: Album updates

Good day or evening folks. Mr. Allen once again. Hope y’all are rocking right.

So…Mister Peterson’s Neighborhood album talk. Simple: it’s not done. Many reasons but it’s not done and definitely not how I would want it to be. No worries though…I’m plotting on another way of doing things.

The idea that’s sticking in my thoughts is to just release songs here and there vs. releasing my ideal project. I don’t have the time or resources (that I would like to have consistently) to focus on doing my ideal project. Not cool at all but hey.

I ran across an interview with DJ Jazzy Jeff and he simply said ‘die empty’ (below). So I figure I would release these songs with hopes that folks dig them, on the flip, it’s a tad easier to market one song than a project. Feels like cheating a bit but it just works with my scheduling, being I’m going to be pushing it myself. Speaking of…

…I’ll keep doing these blogs to update everyone on when a song will be released. I have some features I need to get on some of the songs, get the songs mixed, and go for it! It’ll be videos and ‘tie-in’ stuff as well.

It’ll get done and it’ll be dope. In other news…

…MJbaker album is finished getting chopped and screwed (mixing/mastering). Private listening party is planned, next up is the album release party (April flow). Updates soon. We’re doing a FB live next Friday at 9pm to preview one of her songs. Lock it in.

Also, The Groove Suite Podcast turned a year old this month (blog and mix coming soon). We’ve been moving so fast on it to where we were reminded by a friend! Tragic I know *laughs*. Thank y’all in advance for rocking with it, Sosha and myself truly appreciate it. The next Groove Suite Live is March 17th at Agave. Hope to see y’all out.

More updates later but that’s where we’re at with the music side of things for me. Be on the lookout for some droppings and thanks to everyone who flows with it.

‘Hustlin’’: I shot/directed this video. I didn’t want to but I did it. Story on it whenever it’s asked.

‘…TO THE TOP…!!!’: Notsucal shot this. This happen the day after the first Mister Peterson’s Neighborhood party (3.2.2013, the day before is our anniversary). Hopefully the scenes in this video will come ‘true’ tomorrow. I’m praying on it.
