Thanks for reading Pamela! A lot of the southern dialects were derived from the same influences (Elizabethan English, Scottish, etc.) and as such, many of these words are found throughout the south. In fact, some words, like “passel,” are stilled used in other English variants throughout the world. And yes, we use y’all as well — but you’uns is used interchangeably. :)
