This is awesome! I had a beagle named Benji growing up. He was a stray that just showed up one day with no collar. We made found dog posters and asked everyone we knew who the owner might be, but no one claimed him. So he just stayed with us. Best. Dog. Ever. Miss him, and even more so after reading your piece.
