How that morning started!
In Fort Worth, Texas, JFK decided to meet the crowds outside his hotel. Among them was an 8-year-old boy named Billy Paxton, the future storm-chasing actor Bill Paxton.
After a short 13-minute flight from Fort Worth, JFK, Jackie and the presidential team arrived in Dallas.

JFK stopped the motorcade twice on the parade route—first for school children and then for Catholic nuns. He got out to shake hands and greet them before continuing.
