Double Faced Parents

So i belong to middle class indian family and i am fed up with the manipulations our parent do to us, so this is rant story after all i need to lash out somewhere. And god forbid i confront my parent as i am “sanskari” guy.

I am sorry to say but parents treat us like fixed deposits. Not hurting anyone’s feeling but other then that there is no reason to hold your child from realizing there dreams and that may dream can be anything, but how can they you are their FD. And of course no one want to break a FD before it is matured. So remember this golden principle because all the decisions of your life will be taken on the basis of that.

Recently i did something despicable, I broke the news that i like a girl to my conservative parents. They were aghast, angry that how can a bot in which they invested for so long can dare to dream about leading a happy life. Now comes the sad part where they try to convince me for not doing what my body and soul are dying to do. According to my father it will be social death. He is concerned about his stature in the society. But that very society is rotten to the core and its stinking so bad that you will feel nauseated even if you think about it. This societies some respectable members are muderer’s, pimps, (very)corrupt politicians, land mafia and i can go on but that list will be very long. They want to save their image in front of such people and that’s what disgust me.

I can go on and on about this rant but that wont be very fruitful. So in the last i want to appeal to all the young people reading this don’t treat your kids like investments, if you have some dream and you are killing it because of your kids please don’t do it. Since he/she didn’t ask for it, do it if you feel like it. True love does not expect anything in return it’s feeling of giving everything you can without expecting anything in return. Don’t try to put them in golden cage, their wings will broke and their dreams will die.
