Here the raw material that is coke and petroleum is treated similar to the processes which are described under 1 to 3, then they are heated further at the temperature 2500OC. the temperature changes the carbon substance to a form of graphite which is crystalline in nature. This type of brushes are called electrographite.
5. Metal graphite brushes
Graphite mixtures are processed to form a powdery metal basis which is used as a raw material. Electrolytic copper is the most commonly used metal but some appliances also use other metal powder like tin, silver, lead. This type of brushes shows qualities of both graphite brushes and metal brushes. It is based on the proportion of graphite and metal.
