Still didn’t work….
Attempting to install latest VBox 6.0.2 on macos 10.13.6 (2017 MBP), none of the solutions worked. The workaround I found to be able to do the install was:
- After attempting the above and still having the ‘Anywhere’ option selected in the ‘Allow apps downloaded from:’ Security & Privacy setting ticked…
- Run the VirtualBox.pkg installer and click through until the ‘Customize’ button appears
- Click the ‘Customize’ button and deselect the last (fourth) option for the FUSE commands
- Continue with the installation process
- Successful install!
What I don’t like about this workaround is that one of the reasons to upgrade to the 6. series is for the enhanced filesystem sharing between host and guest, which one presumes is enabled via the FUSE API.
