I didn’t have an editor or a microphone. Three years later everyone has (or should do!) a podcast.

I recently started my own podcast exactly like this! All I had was my iPhone and the Voice Memos app. I recorded my first episode in my car whilst driving to no where. I thought that it must be the most soundproof place I can use.

I didn’t even know how to upload a podcast at the time. I went home and googled “How to upload a podcast”.

The guide was way to long for me, so I just took out 80% of it. I wanted as little steps as possible.

iTunes told me that I needed a graphic for my podcast, so I made one on Canva.com.

What’s my podcast about? Nothing in particular really. I just knew that I wanted to make a podcast. I’ve listen to your show James for over a year now as well as others like Tim Ferriss and Joe Rogan. It sounds like so much fun.

So I set myself a challenge, I started on February 1st. I’m going to be making a podcast for 100 days. 1 per day. I called it The Daniel Bourke Show.

Today is day 17. I don’t even know what today’s episode is going to be about. I’ll just start recording and upload it.

My friend was nice enough make me an intro as well.

What are my goals?

  • Get better at public speaking
  • Practice interviewing people (I’m yet to interview anyone)
  • Have fun

That’s it.

Maybe one day I’ll come on your show or potentially even interview you on my show. That would be a dream come true.

For now, I’m having the most fun I’ve had in years. Just talking to myself and uploading the audio. I’ll never look back in 20 years and regret this.

So thank you for the continual inspiration James!

I’ll let you know when I reach day 100.

PS, if you want to hear my show, it’s available on iTunes, I haven’t quite worked out Google Play yet. I’m open to all kinds of feedback :).
