Setting up your .bash_profile in macOS Sierra

There’s plenty you can do with your .bash_profile to customize your development environment, however, this article is only aimed at giving you a base to work from. The .bash_profile example linked above does the following to your environment.

  1. Set up some basic terminal colors.
  2. Add parsing of git output + change detection.
  3. Customize your line description with only your folder location and git status.
