You may have seen people say that they are Flat-earthers and they believe in Flat Earth Theory. Here, a question Arises. What is the Flat Earth Theory? Let’s Find Out!

Flat Earth Theory is that earth is a disc with Arctic circle in the center and Antarctica is a 150-foot tall wall of ice, around the rim. Flat-Earthers say that NASA employees guard this ice wall to prevent people from climbing over and falling off the disc.
Flat-earthers have also explained Day and Night Cycle. They say that the sun and moon are spheres measuring 51Km that move in a circular 4828 Km long path above the plane of the Earth.
They also believe that there must be an invisible “antimoon” that obscures the moon during Lunar Eclipse.
Furthermore, they say Earth’s gravity is an Illusion. An object does not accelerate downward. Instead, the Earth accelerates upward at 9.8 meters per second squared.

Flat-Earthers also believe that photos of Earth as a sphere are photoshopped and GPS devices are rigged to make aeroplane pilot think that they are flying in a straight line around a sphere when they are actually flying in a circle above a disc.

According to Flat-Earthers, all of this is probably because of Financial reasons. In a nutshell, it would logically cost much less to fake a space program than to actually have one, so those in on the conspiracy profit from the funding NASA and other space agencies receive from the government.

Now the question arises that, Do people believe in this Theory?
On Jan 25th, 2016, Rapper-Singer, Bobby Ray Simmons released a track called “Flatline” in which he disses astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson after the two had a Twitter battle over the spherical-ness of the Earth. The rapper said “No matter how high in elevation you are… the horizon is always eye level … sorry cadets… I didn’t wanna believe it either.”
In another incident, a podcast aired on Feb 27th, 2017. In that podcast, Former NBA Player Shaquille O’Neal proclaimed our home planet is flat, he said when he drives from Florida to California “it’s flat to me”, later he said he was kidding.

What do you believe? Is this theory correct? Or is this just a Hyped rumor, Do tell us in the comment section. And as always, Thanks for Reading
