For many years I have been curious about Cisco Connect events. Are they opportune learning experiences like a mini Cisco Live? Or more like an expanded regional Cisco User meetup where you can network with other Cisco technology enthusiasts? Apparently, both are true and I can’t wait.

During March I’ll finally get a chance to attend … three of them in fact! And if you’re attending the Cisco Connect events in Raleigh, Charlotte or Virginia Beach, let’s connect!

For one-day events, the agendas look pretty packed so try to make a point to go, especially if you’re like most Cisco fans you’re not always able to attend the ultimate Cisco event — Cisco Live!

Let’s dive in. Here are some highlights of Cisco Connect Raleigh which is March 3 at the Raleigh Convention Center:

Cisco Connect Raleigh kicks off with a keynote at 8:15 am and ends with closing remarks and the event raffle from event sponsors at 3:45 pm.

Enterprise Networking Track

If you’re interested in the Enterprise Networking Track, Cisco Connect Raleigh features four sessions dedicated to the topic. At 9:15 am there’s a session entitled “Transform the Network With End-To-End Expert Guidance.” At 10:45 am attend “SD-WAN: Securely Connect and Optimize Application Experiences.” At 1 pm you can attend “Cisco DNA: Your Bridge to an Intent-Based Network,” and at 2:30 pm to end the day is “Leveraging API’s for the Cisco Meraki Cloud Platform.”

Security Track

Cisco Connect Raleigh features four sessions focused on security topics. Those include at 9:15 am “NGFW Best Practices and What’s New,” and at 10:30 am “Zero Trust for Application Workloads.” In the afternoon at 1 pm you can attend “DNS Protection to Comprehensive Data Protection,” and to close out the day at 3:45 pm “Leveraging Threat Response in the SecOps Environment.”

Data Center Track

A full day of data center sessions scheduled throughout the day during Cisco Connect Raleigh as well. Attend sessions on “The Cisco Data Center Anywhere Demo Story Parts 1 & 2” at 9:15 am and 10:45 am. In the afternoon, data center sessions scheduled at 1 pm on “Get Ready For Containers” and 2:30 pm on “Modern Management of Compute and Storage Environments” should appeal to the data center enthusiasts.

Collaboration Track

Collaboration fans will have four sessions to enjoy at Cisco Connect Raleigh starting at 9:15 am with “Planning Your Calling Journey,” and continuing at 10:45 am with “Building and Connecting Teams.” In the afternoon starting at 1 pm attend “Driving the Future of Meetings,” and finish up the day at 2:30 pm with “Customizing your In-room Video Experience.”

DevNet Track

For the DevNet folks, four DNA Center APIs (beginner-level) labs will be held throughout the day. Bring your laptop to participate.

Raleigh’s Convention Center is located in Downtown Raleigh with a huge parking lot adjacent to the event venue that’s $10.

Skyline ATS will be exhibiting that day in the World of Solutions section. We invite you to stop by to learn more about our Cisco training and IT solutions. We also encourage attendees to participate in our Cisco Connect course giveaway.

We’ll also be exhibiting Cisco Connect Virginia Beach on Thursday, March 5 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center and Cisco Connect Charlotte on Thursday, March 12 at the Westin Charlotte.
