The best way to find good friends is to become a good friend. If you want to find people who care about you and are looking out for your best interests, you need to start caring about others and their best interests.
I would suggest smiling and having an attitude of gratitude. Each morning, think of at least three things for which you’re grateful for. Get in touch with your inner child. Try to recapture the who you were when you used to play in the sand pit at school. That genuine smile from the smallest of things. That curious nature. That uncanny sense of excitement for what is yet to come.
How to find mentors, that’s a tough one. Reach out to people who you respect. Someone will respond and be willing to help. Everyone takes great pride in cultivating a protege.
