The Belief I Convinced Myself to Change

I used to think that poor people were poor because it was their own fault. They made their own decisions that led them down to a path of misery.

Then I became poor. So I understood that sometimes, stuff happens and people end up in weird places. I finally understood that some things are out of our control.

However, I still do believe that every passing moment is another chance to turn it all around, so everyone has a chance to recover from situations like this.

Today, I ran by a quote that said to give thanks today for those who did you wrong. They unknowingly made you strong.

I feel that’s a pretty solid way to look at people who may have caused us more misfortune than we could imagine.
