Great piece, glad you made that decision. I work in this field, and just wrote a piece on Medium about what people can do to prevent gun violence — please check it out! I should add “turn your guns in to the police” as another recommendation. Without a firearm in your home, you are now statistically much less likely to be harmed by a gun, so hopefully you’re happy with your decision.
