Navigating Netflix for the Best Possible User Experience

Netflix has a lot of great content and they should, they have been doing online streaming for years now. Movies, shows, documentaries, reality TV, and more; you name it and it can probably be found on the platform. Although that’s the thing, finding things on Netflix is not always easy. Users have long complained that the interface was somewhat difficult to navigate. With somewhere around 6000 movies and TV shows in their catalog, and with new content being added (and removed) all the time you would imagine that it would be a priority for them to try and improve the user experience.

Additionally, Netflix’s algorithm for recommending content to users may not always seem accurate. Although the system is designed to be able to take a viewer’s personal preferences and viewing history into account, in some cases it seems to struggle to provide relevant content recommendations. One way of remedying this is by making sure that users use separate profiles, and by constantly providing Netflix with feedback in the form of “Thumbs up” and “Thumbs down” votes. Constantly rating the content that Netflix serves you will help to improve your Netflix Recommendation Algorithm, which is the system they use to try and provide you with relevant content recommendations.
